Tradition
I created a printmaking piece based on original photos I took of two handmade Isfahani tileworks. On the right, it reads "This too shall pass, " a deeply rooted Persian saying reflecting the transient nature of life. On the left, it features the phrase "O Nothing, for nothing, do not entwine nothing, " a profound Persian verse that explores the concept of nothingness, a theme often addressed by Persian poets. This work aims to highlight the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Persia (Iran), emphasising the timeless wisdom and depth of Persian art and philosophy.
